Helping Parents Support Their Child’s Learning
Hello, I’m Alice — founder of Stronger Starts Learning.
I am an experienced teacher with many years of teaching across a wide range of settings: UK and international schools; state-funded and independent; in-person and online; indoors and outdoors; large classes, small groups, and one-to-one support.
I have taught all primary ages, from 4 to 11. During this time, I have worked with children who speak one language through to four languages, as well as children who have found using language extremely challenging. I have taught children with SEND, neurotypical children, and children whose needs remain undefined.
I have taught within a Project-Based Learning curriculum, a curriculum constantly factoring in outdoor learning, and the robust and thorough — though often play-limited — UK curriculum.
My ethos is rooted in understanding what is truly needed to provide children with a happy, positive, and progressive start to life and learning.
In terms of who I am: I am personable, calm, and welcoming. I hold an open-minded philosophy toward education, understanding children as unique beings with unique paths.
I am excited to share my expertise, enthusiasm, and warmth with families, helping them integrate learning into the home in ways that feel natural, meaningful, and suited to them.
I look forward to working with you. You can book a consultation to discuss your child’s learning.
My Approach
My approach is child-centred, practical and grounded in evidence. Effective learning support does not need to be complicated, but it does need to be well chosen and applied consistently.
I focus on helping parents understand why particular strategies work, not just what to do. This allows you to make informed decisions and adapt support to your child over time.
Support is personalised and measured. The goal is to build confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours without pressure or unnecessary workload for families.
