Frequently Asked Questions

  • Stronger Starts Learning is for all parents who care about education and want their child to make a strong start.

Families typically fall into the following categories:

    Home Educated children:

Careful thought it given to craft practical activities parents can use to support and deepen understanding, build confidence, and embed lifelong learning skills. We can also help with curriculum and timetabling.

Hybrid learners or children who are temporarily out of education:

Families often have very specific or complex reasons for this. These situations vary greatly, so tailored approaches and parent education are usually essential.

    School-educated children:

Families who have the privilege of some time and space — perhaps simply sitting together at the dinner table — and would like a better understanding of how to interact with their child at the right level. This involves subtly or explicitly supporting learning alongside structured school days.

  • Our support is short term, whereas tutoring typically is ongoing, unless for an exam. We focus on equipping parents with knowledge and skills to embed learning experiences into their home, without overwhelm or heavy workload. Moreover, we inform parents on how their children learn, so they feel equipped and empowered to make decisions without the need for a regular tutor.

  • This varies hugely based on the requirements of the parents. We will focus on the necessary skills, the learner profile of their child and discuss next steps. All parent consultations will include ideas to immediately embed into the home.
